Yes, you are not alone on the planet! Other earthlings are making their way through life just as you are. Many of them are in cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles and buses.
The visible shield of metal and glass that separates us from others enclosed in similar armor can make us lose track of the fact that we must remain courteous to those around us. You would never push, shove or scream at another person on the street or in the grocery store (You wouldn't do that, would you?) so how could you ever justify that behavior just because you're encased in metal?
The highway is not a case of machine versus machine at some carnival ride at the amusement park. It is the movement of the human race scurrying about in the normal flow of life. Most people are not out to get you on the highway. Some may require extra patience to maneuver around, but that's just the normal way of life in a civilized society.
